It is the sole responsibility of the client and/or client’s agent to read these Terms and Conditions carefully prior to engaging Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Inc. (“TLCP”).

  • A digital copy of these Terms and Conditions will be sent upon booking.

  • If the client is not present at the property, they must reply to the booking confirmation email stating:

“I agree to and accept the Terms and Conditions outlined.”

By accepting a quotation provided by TLCP and, where applicable, paying a deposit, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

1. WORKING HOURS

  • Standard service hours are 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, unless otherwise stated or agreed in writing.

  • Service requested after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, or at any time during weekends, will be classified as emergency service. Such services will be billed at a rate of

$180.00 per hour, plus applicable HST.

  • Service requested during statutory holidays will be classified as holiday emergency service and billed at a rate of $240.00 per hour, plus applicable HST.

2. QUOTATIONS

  1. All work (quoted or otherwise) is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

  2. Quotes are valid for 30 days only. TLCP reserves the right to requote if approval is received after this period.

  3. Quotations are based on site conditions as reasonably estimated by the plumber. Variations may apply if conditions differ.

  4. TLCP reserves the right to adjust quotations once work has commenced; client approval will be sought prior to additional work.

  5. Once goods have been ordered, cancellations may incur supplier restocking fees.

  6. Quotations issued without an on-site inspection (“site unseen”) may be

subject to additional charges once full scope is confirmed.

3. APPROVALS

  1. Written approval is required before commencing works (via signed quote or email confirmation). Verbal approval is not accepted.

  2. Projects over $1,000 require a 50% non-refundable deposit before scheduling and ordering of materials.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

  1. Remaining balances are payable upon completion of the job.

  2. “Payment on Completion” invoices must be paid before the plumber leaves site. Remote clients must pay by e-transfer, credit card, or cheque.

  3. Accepted payment methods:

    • Cash

    • Cheque

    • E-Transfer (to the email on invoice)

    • Credit Card (3% surcharge applies)

  4. Late payments attract 2% interest per month (24% annually) on the outstanding balance.

  5. Overdue invoices of 60 days will be referred to collections, with all recovery costs payable by the client.

  6. Invoice disputes must be raised within 48 hours of receipt, otherwise they will be considered valid and payable.

  7. All prices are subject to HST.

  8. Progress payments may be requested if jobs are delayed due to client-related factors.

5. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Client details may be used in accordance with TLCP’s Privacy Policy.

  • Relevant details may be shared with subcontractors or suppliers assisting on the job.

6. INSURANCE

TLCP maintains:

  • $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance

  • Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) coverage

    • Proof of coverage is available upon request.

7. WARRANTY

  1. TLCP provides a 6-month workmanship warranty on plumbing work from the date of completion (unless otherwise stated).

  2. Manufacturer warranties on products apply separately and must be claimed directly with the supplier/manufacturer.

  3. No warranty is provided for client-supplied parts or fixtures.

  4. Warranty is void if another trade or individual attempts repairs prior to TLCP inspection.

  5. Call-outs found not related to TLCP workmanship will incur a standard service fee.

  6. Drain work holds no warranty without a camera inspection.

8. TERMINATION

By TLCP – Works may be terminated or suspended if:

  • Client fails to pay as agreed.

  • Client denies site access or breaches safety requirements.

  • Insolvency events occur.

By Either Party – Agreement may be terminated if:

  • A material breach occurs and is not remedied within 10 business days.

  • Either party is unable to meet financial obligations.

Deposits remain non-refundable.

9. PRICING

All jobs are subject to a $25 service fee (incl. HST).

  1. Works up to $500 may be completed without further approval; amounts exceeding this will be quoted/discussed with the client or their agent.

  2. Pricing assumes site access during working hours and compliance with current building/plumbing codes. Variations apply otherwise.

10. GOODS & SERVICES

  • All goods/services remain the property of TLCP until invoices are paid in full.

  • TLCP is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control (e.g., weather, supply shortages, strikes).

  • Client-supplied materials are installed at the client’s risk and will not be warrantied by TLCP.

11. DRAINAGE & BLOCKAGES

  • Blockages may indicate damaged pipes; root removal does not constitute a permanent repair.

  • TLCP provides no warranty on blockages unless the affected line is replaced.

  • If drain equipment becomes stuck due to damaged pipes, removal costs

(including excavation) are the client’s responsibility.

  • TLCP is not liable for secondary overflows or damages caused during blockage removal.

12. EXCAVATION & SITE CONDITIONS

  • Excavation may disturb lawns, gardens, or landscaping. TLCP will make reasonable reinstatement but cannot restore original condition.

  • TLCP is not responsible for unforeseen underground obstructions (rock, utilities, debris) encountered during works.

13. SAFETY

  • TLCP will comply with all Ontario Health & Safety regulations.

  • Clients must provide safe site conditions. Unsafe sites will result in job suspension and a call-out charge until remedied.

14. MISCELLANEOUS

  • TLCP reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

By booking with Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Inc., the client acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions.
